Henna Hair

Henna Hair

Using the henna art has become a very popular activity for many people. Many choose to get henna designs decorated on their body, while others use the art of henna in their hair. Even though the overwhelming majority of individuals choose henna designs for their body art, henna hair is starting to catch on and it is becoming more popular by the day. In fact, many people are actually starting to choose henna hair over regularly dyed hair specifically because henna will typically last longer in the hair as well as look better than regular dyed hair.

What is Henna Hair?

Henna hair is basically using the art of henna and applying it to the hair. The same paste is used for the body as is used for creating henna hair, but there is one simple difference that can be changed throughout the process of styling your own henna hair. The henna paste uses the same type of material, the henna plant, when creating henna hair as they use for the henna body art. The main difference lies in the fact that henna hair can be darkened or lightened depending upon how long the henna dye or paste is left on the hair. For beginners creating henna hair, it may be recommended to place the henna on the hair very lightly and repeat the process until the desired type of henna hair is achieved. However, some other experienced individuals who know how to create henna hair professionally, like beauticians, may be accustomed to how much they are actually required to place on someone's hair. All that being said, henna hair can certain be left on the head for longer periods of time to create a darker hair color if so desired. But the important point here is that henna hair is created from the henna paste taken from the henna plant, which is the same plant that is used for body art as well as henna hair.

How long does Henna Hair last?

Depending on how long and what strength of the henna application that you've used, henna hair can last for weeks. Typically, creating henna hair usually lasts longer than other normal hair dyes. This is because most of the other hair dyes on the market continue to be synthetic and chemical compounds compared to the natural henna hair design applications that are used throughout the world. In fact, many people simply choose henna hair simply because they know that it will last longer and even give them a truer hair color than regular dye will. One of the better components of using henna hair for yourself is that you are able to change the color of your henna hair suited to your own style with multiple applications of the henna art.

Considering that many people have used henna hair as a popular form of art for many years and it has continued in growth and popularity today, successful henna hair applications can lead to a more satisfying approach to dyeing your hair than regular hair dye. Henna hair definitely will continue to be a growing trend throughout the coming years for all sorts of individuals!

Henna Hair

Henna is an open shrub with heavily scented, small cream flowers and blue black fruit, nice for hair products.

Uses
Henna leaves yield the famous red dye used as body paint, and to stain hair, nails, cloth, and sometimes the manes of white arab horses. The cooling, astringent leaves soothe fevers, headaches, stings, aching joints, and skin irritations. The leaves are also deodorisers, carried under the arm by rabbiis, and recommended in apina's medieval herbals to treat "evil-smelling feet". The bark, leaves, and fruit are used in folk medicine. The flowers scented oil, is an Indian and African perfume and is used in Arab religious festivals.

Remark
The flower scent was known as "Camphire" in the bible, and was the source of Cleopatra's famous seductive perfume, cyprinum, used to soak the sails of her barge before her first meeting with Antony.

Henna
Fragrant Henna has many facets to its enchanting side. Apart from being considered auspicious, it is a symbol of age old Indian traditions. Henna is popular for it's natural values, colouring and cooling effect, and pleasant fragrance. In homes, the green henna leaves are gathered and then dried in the shade. Finely grounded powder is mixed with water to make a paste. This paste is applied on hands in beautiful patterns and then left to dry, resulting in a deep red colour, which leaves you mesmerised with its sheer charm, then applied to hair.
