Henna Tattoo Picture

Henna body art is a form of painting the body that comes from a natural plant in the Middle Eastern countries. It has evolved over time and is now used in many countries where the idea of getting a henna tattoo has become quite popular. Henna tattoos are actually sometimes more popular than regular tattoos simply because they are easily washable, but do last for several weeks at a time if no washing is done. A lot of hard work actually goes into creating a henna tattoo also. Some henna artists prefer to look at henna tattoo pictures when designed and painting the henna artwork on somebody's arm or hand. For consumers, though, henna tattoo pictures are looked at so that ideas can come when they are choosing the henna design that they want.

If you are ready to go into a henna tattoo parlor, you may just want to decide which henna design that you'll get beforehand. In order to do this, there are millions of henna tattoo pictures that you can get inspiration from. Some henna tattoo pictures can be look up on the internet, but plenty more can be found in books that you can check out from the library. In fact, many of the henna tattoo pictures that you can see in library books actually may reflect the designs that have been painted on bodies thousands of years ago. Those henna tattoos are inspiration for not only henna tattoo designers, but also for henna consumers themselves.

Aside from the inspirations that can be gotten from looking and countless numbers of henna tattoo pictures, some of the henna tattoo pictures are also useful for creating henna stencils that one can purchase inside an all-encompassing henna kit. Usually these henna tattoo kits will include several types of henna stencils, henna brushes, as well as the henna paste, but some will allow you to actually create your own henna stencil from a henna tattoo picture that you have in mind. After you have the henna tattoo picture in hand all you have to do is place it over a stencil pattern and start outlining the henna tattoo picture that you want to copy.

After the henna tattoo picture has been successfully transferred to the henna stencil all that needs to be done is painting the henna design on the part of the body that you want to henna to go. There are plenty of good spots for henna designs on the body, too. And just because you may have seen a popular or creative henna tattoo picture that you want to copy does not mean that you have to have it in the exact same place as you saw it in the henna tattoo picture. On the contrary, the same henna designs that are seen in henna tattoo pictures can look beautifully on different spots on many different people. All in all, henna tattoo pictures are an excellent source for inspiration as well as henna designs when actually deciding to go for and have a henna design painted on your body!

The history of henna tattoos spans many decades and cultures. From tiny roses on shoulders to full body motifs, tattoos have made their way into the mainstream as a modern genre of artistic expression. Henna body tattoo are a safe and painless way of having favorite tattoos without the permanence and the pain of a real tattoo. They can last anything from 2 - 4 weeks depending on the skin type and how often the design is washed and scrubbed.

Once the henna paste has been applied it should be left to dry for as long as possible, then simply brushed off leaving an orange/yellow mark. The design takes about 12 hours to fully develop and becomes dark brown after this time.

Henna tattoos traditionally fell into four distinctive styles. The Middle Eastern style consisted mostly of floral patterns inspired by Arabic carvings, paintings and textiles. This casual style did not usually follow a specific pattern. The North American style accentuated the shape of the feet and hands using geometric floral patterns.

The Indian and Pakistani designs extend beyond the hands and feet to create the illusion of gloves and stockings. These were made up of intricate, repetitive paisley patterns, lines, and teardrops. Finally, the Indonesian or Southeast Asian styles were a mix of Indian and Middle Eastern designs with blocks of color on the tips of fingers and toes.
